FILL-IN MODE
This mode will activate the flash when you
want to photograph subjects with sunlight
to their side or back. It lets you take more
natural looking pictures by softening harsh
shadows.
1. Press the mode switch until ^ appears
on the LCD panel.
2. The flash will fire every time the shutter
release button is pressed.
FLASH-OFF MODE ®
This mode turns the flash off allowing for
available-light photography or for use
where flash photography is prohibited.
1. Press the mode switch until ® appears
on the LCD panel.
2. Press the release button and the shutter
will be release without flash.
• In the flash-off mode, slow shutter
speeds (up to 1/5 seconds) are used for
available light. The use of a tripod is rec¬
ommended to prevent the camera from
shaking.
