Now, slowly rotate the counterweight in the direction of
the arrow (the scale ring will also rotate) until the 1.7 gram
indication of the ring is allgned with the index line on the
tonearm.
After setting the appropriate amount of tracking force,
set the anti-skating knob
to the same value.
If this
is forgotten,
the stylus may skid over the surface of the
record during record play.
Connections
Connect the output cord from the CP-1057F to the
PHONO
terminals of your audio amplifier as shown
below.
Connect the power cord to the socket on the
rear panel of the amplifier or the wall socket.
If the unit you have purchased is equipped with a cartridge,
the cartridge is an MC type. Therefore, the amplifier
cartridge selector should be set to the MC position before
using this unit for the first time.

Do not reverse left and right output cords.
Playing a Record
Always wipe records with a good cloth to remove
dust
and other particles before placing the stylus in the
starting grooves.
Also confirm that no dust is clinging
to the stylus.
A dirty record and stylus can cause
unpleasant static during record play.
Fully Automatic Operation
1. Place a record on the turntable mat
{1} and set the
Speed Selector [22] to the correct speed for the record
about to be played. The speed switches between
33 and
45 each time the Speed Selector
[22] is pressed and
the corresponding indicator lights.
2. Set the Record Size Selector 21] to the correct
setting for the record about to be played.
The record size setting switches between
30 cm
and 17 cm
each time the Record
Size Selector
is pressed and the corresponding
indicator lights.
3. Press the Play/Reject Button [16] ; the turntable
platter
3] will begin to rotate, and
the tonearm
13}
will automatically
move
over to the record, lower
into the starting grooves and begin record play.
4. When
the end of the record
is reached, the tonearm
13] will automatically
return to the arm rest
12 and
the turntable
platter {3} will stop rotating.
5. To interrupt record play before the end is reached,
depress the Play/Reject Button
[16] . The tonearm
13, will immediately return to the arm
rest (12) and
the turntable platter!3\ will stop rotating.
6. Do not touch or forcibly move the tonearm
during
this time as it will damage the automatic mechanism.
Manual Operation
Repeat
Function
To operate the repeat function, simply depress the
Repeat Button 19]. The REPEAT
LED
indicator will
light up and the record will be played
again and again.
The repeat function is cancelled by depressing the
Play/Reject Button
[16] to stop record
play immediately,
or by depressing the Repeat Button
[19] once more,
in
which case the record will be played to its end.
In
either case, the REPEAT
LED
indicator will turn off.
