  • Page 9: Technical Specification

SECTION 1 - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION INTRODUCTION The 65-200 Scalable Chassis is the basis of a modular switching system which is designed to provide a high density flexible solution by the addition of plug-in modules. Switching configurations are created by populating a 65-200 chassis with plug-in modules that form part of the overall configuration.
  • Page 10 PLUG-IN MODULES The plug-in modules used to populate the 65-200 chassis are in the part number series 65-xxx-xxx. The current range is summarised below and additional products are being introduced, for the latest product introduction refer to the website. For specifications, refer to the individual plug-in’s data sheet. These are available from the website and can be accessed via the link: pickeringtest.com/products/lxi/scalable-lxi-platforms...

Programming a Matrix - Card Handle 1 A matrix hosted by the 65-200 chassis can be programmed as “Card Handle 1” where it is divided into a sub-unit for the matrix and a sub-unit for the isolation switches. This is summarised in Table 4-1 below - see the manual for a particular plug-in module for specific information.
  • Page 25 Depending upon the plug-in type, this is automatic or has to be done by the programmer for the required analog bus. Similarly, depending on the plug-in architecture, isolation switch connections have to be enabled to route X or Y signals to the front panel connectors. Ethernet traffic is greatly reduced, so the overall system latency is reduced. The 65-200 features a software reset line which provides the ability for a user supplied reset to be applied to the unit, triggering a software reset of the relays, returning all relays in the unit to their default state.
