NOT provide external terminator power. They provide the external terminator, but the
device does not power
it. We have found that the DM—80
won't recognize
the drive
with
the terminator
installed
because
it is improperly
terminated
(not powered). So
most people just remove the terminator and the
DM-— 80 will then recognize the drive
but this is still not the correct way
to run your
DM-— 80 for best DATA
integrity.
If you. are having
other SCSI backup
or disk drive problems, CHECK
FOR
PROPER
TERMINATION
AND
TERMINATOR
POWER.
