As you press the shutter button half-way, the
lamp
O
and
0
shown above glow or flicker.
O Green lamp
When it glows, you can take a picture.
When it flickers, you cannot.
0
Red lamp
When it glows, flash is ready to fire.
When it flickers, flash is being charged.
• When the green lamp flickers in the ordinary or
macro shooting, it indicates the subject is too close
to the camera. Adjust the camera-to-subject
distance so that the green lamp glows, and then
release the shutter. (When the distance is extremely
short, the green lamp may not flicker.)
This button is for switching the flash to
the ordinary-shooting or daylight-sync flash
mode. As you set the main switch at [ I ] to
turn it on, the camera is set in the ordinary-
shooting mode [ /& 1 *n which the flash
automatically fires when the subject is dark.
Usually, take a picture in this flash mode. Refer
to pages 14 — 16 on flash photography.
