SCSI chain, or other devices on the chain may emit signals. As long as the scanner is receiving a signal, it will not shut itself off. If the scanner is not shutting off, wait until the computer is shut down, or you can plug it into a dedicated surge protector and use it’s power switch to turn the power on and off.. -
