Designed for General Mobile radio Service (GMRS) operation, this compact package is big on performance. It is a quality piece of electronic equipment, skilfully constructed with the finest components.

    Model MXMC01 Description Description Roger Beep Scan Indicator Key Tone Weather Monitor TX / RX Indicator Hi / Low Power Channel CTCSS / DCS Repeater Channel S-Meter OPERATION 1.1 ON / OFF To turn the radio on and off 1. With the radio off, turn the knob clockwise. You will hear a tone when the radio is on.

    Model MXMC01 Selecting the Active Channel IMPORTANT! To communicate between two radios, both radios must be set to the same channel (see Selecting a Privacy Code) selections. To Select the Active channel 1. Be sure the radio is turned on (See Power On/Off) 2.

    5. Once the volume has been adjusted to the desired level, press and hold (3 seconds) the Monitor button to exit Monitor mode. Scanning for Active Channels Your MXMC01 includes an “auto-scan” mode that continuously scans all available channels for activity. To enter and exit “auto-scan” mode: 1.

    • The Scanning icon will turn off when the radio is no longer in “auto-scan” mode NOAA Weather Radio/Scan Your MXMC01 has a NOAA Weather Radio function, to enable the user to receive weather reports from designated NOAA stations. Your radio also has a NOAA Weather Scan function, to enable the user to scan all 10 channels.

    • The weather icon will begin flashing 4. To return to GMRS mode, press and release the WX or PTT button. • When a Weather Alert goes off, the MXMC01 will sound a siren. Pressing any button on the microphone will take you to the assigned weather channel and you will be able to hear the weather alert.

    Model MXMC01 4. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down button to toggle the transmit power setting between HI and LO. 5. When the desired transmit power level is shown on the LCD display, press the Lock button to confirm your selection.

    Model MXMC01 5.0 CALL TONE 1. Press and release the Menu button to place the radio in “Menu” mode. 2. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down buttons to scroll the menu options until CALL TONE is selected 3. Press the Lock button to confirm your selection.

    Model MXMC01 • When activated the repeater channels will be displayed as the channel number (Ex. 15,16,17,etc.) and the RP icon • Repeater channels will appear immediately following the standard GMRS channels (ex: 20, 21, 22, 15rP, 16rP, 17rP, etc.).

    Model MXMC01 5. When the noise cancel setting is shown on the LCD display, press the Lock button to confirm your selection. YOU MUST PRESS THE LOCK BUTTON TO CONFIRM YOUR SELECTION OR THE NOISE CANCEL SETTING WILL NOT BE CHANGED.
