    A single CAT5e type cable* is all that is required between the audio source and the ABAR-1. An international version of the ABAR-1, called the ABARI-1 is also available. * Maximum distance for CAT5 balanced audio is 500 feet using CresCAT®, CresCAT-IM, or quality CAT5e cable.
