Symptom
Engine is overheating

No engine coolant
Front of radiator is
clogged with dirt
Radiator cap not
sufficiently tightened
Fan belt loose
Engine coolant dirty
Fan clutch is faulty
Radiator cap dirty or
faulty
Improper engine oil
viscosity
Engine oil level too low
Engine inner
components are faulty
Meter, indicator/warning
lights or switches faulty
Driving and Operating
Corrective Action
Add engine coolant
Wash clean with tap
water
Make sure it is firmly
tightened or replace the
radiator cap
Adjust the tension or
replace the belt
Clean or replace
Change to an oil with
proper viscosity
Add engine oil
