QWERTY Keyboard Layout
Use the keyboard option menu (Toolbar).
Enter a character.
Switch between all lower case and sentence case.
Double-Tap for all upper case.
Toggle entry modes.
Use voice input.
Delete a character before cursor.
Insert line break; confirm current characters. Touch &
Hold to set one-handed mode.
Enter a comma. Touch & Hold for text entry settings
or to set one-handed mode. With several set keyboards,

for emoji, emoticons, etc.
Show emoji, emoticons, etc. With several set
keyboards,
to switch between keyboards.
Enter a space.

Entry mode is changed to number and symbol mode.

Updating Software

Automatically download the latest software via the Internet.
Software is updated when handset restarts at a specified
time. Checking/updating does not incur transmission fees.
Before Updating Software
Saved data may be lost depending on condition of handset
(malfunctioning, damaged, water seepage, etc.). It is
recommended that you back up important data regularly.
SoftBank Corp. is not responsible for damages from loss of
data.
Software Update Cautions
During Update
Never remove USIM Card or power off handset during a
software update. Doing so may cause the update to fail.
A software update failure may disable handset. If handset
becomes disabled, contact

Signal during Update
Operate handset where signal reception is good and
without changing location. Also operate with adequate
battery charge. Signal becoming weak or Internal Battery
becoming low during an update may cause an update
failure. An update failure may disable handset.
Enabling Smart Updates
Set handset to automatically download software updates when
available.
