Troubleshooting
e Adjust PICTURE.
Poor or no picture (screen not lit), good sound
e Adjust BRIGHTNESS.
e Check antenna/cable connections.
e Press VOLUME + on the TV or VOL + on the Remote Commander.
e Press MUTING on the Remote Commander.
Good picture, no sound
e Check that the MTS setting is set correctly.
e Check that the TV/VIDEO button is set correctly.
e Check that "SPEAKER ON" is set.
e Is the battery used up?
Good picture, no sound from the cordless
e is the cordless headphones power tured on?

Adjust the cordless headphones volume control.
e Make sure HEADPHONES is set to ON.
e Is the battery used up?
Good picture, noisy sound from the cordless
e Remove obstacles between the infrared emitter and the cordless
headphones
headphones.
e Is the infrared detector covered by your hands, hair, etc?
e Adjust the direction and the position of the infrared emitter.
e Is POWER switched on?
¢ Plug the unit into a wall outlet.
e Check that the TV/VIDEO button is set correctly.
e Make sure S VIDEO is set to on.
No picture (screen not lit), no sound
e Is it a color program?
No color
° Adjust COLOR.
e Is it an active or the correct channel?
Snow and noise only
Check the CABLE setting.
e Check antenna/cable connections.
This is often caused by local interference. (e.g. cars, neon signs,
Dotted nee or eulpes
hairdryers etc.) Adjust the antenna for minimum interference.

Reflections from nearby mountains or buildings often cause this
Double images or ghosts
problem. A highly directional outdoor antenna or a CATV cable may
improve the picture.
Try another channel. It could be station trouble.
If the problem persists, contact your nearest service facility.
