О. Performance Memory
Function
This function allows you to record up to 4 original songs on
the YPR-30 and play them back.
Step 1
First select a song number, 1, 2, 3, or 4 with the Song
Select Switch.

ічехі select the Voice you want with the corresponding
Voice Select Button. Then press the RECORD Button. The
RECORD Indicator will light up.
When you start playing on the keyboard, recording will also
start and your performance will be memorized.
Step 3
To finish recording, press the RECORD Button again. The
RECORD Indicator will go out and recording will be
stoppped.
Step 4
Now press the PLAY Button. The YPR-30 will play back
what you played in the Voice you selected. At this time, if
you wish to add another passage or phrase to the played-
back performance, you can select another Voice and play
it.
* When you play back the performance, you can adjust the tempo faster
r slower with the SPEED Buttons. [V] Button will make it slower and
Button will make it faster. Press both buttons at the same time and
the performance will be played back at the original tempo.
* This Performance Memory function allows you to record a maximum of
about 1,000 notes (4 songs in total). In case you try to record more
than the memory capacity, recording will automatically stop.
2. Playing
E. Transpose Function
This function allows you to play a certain melody or a
phrase in a key different from the original key.
>> To change to a higher key, press the MIDI/
TRANSPOSE Button and hold it down. Then press any of
the C*, to F*, keys.

TRANSPOSE Button and hold it down. Then press any of

* In both these cases, the pitch is changed in 100 cent steps (a half
tone). To recreate the original key, press the MIDITRANSPOSE Button
and hold it down. Then press the C, key, or turn the POWER Switch
OFF and then ON again after a few seconds.
F. Fine Tuning Function
When you play the YPR-30 in an ensemble, it will be often
necessary to tune it with the other instruments. This
function is useful in such cases.
»» To make the pitch higher, press the C, and D,
keys and hold them down. Then press any of the С. to B,
keys. Each time a key is pressed the pitch will be changed
by about a 3 cent step. The pitch can be adjusted up to 50
cents higher.
>> To make the pitch lower, press the C, and C*,
keys and hold them down. Then press any of the C, to B,
keys. Each time a key is pressed the pitch will be changed
by about a 3 cent step. The pitch can be adjusted up to 50
cents lower.
* To change to standard pitch, hold the C,, C*, and D, keys down, and
press any of the C, to B, keys, or turn the unit off and then on again
after a few seconds.
