HOW TO USE THE MANUAL
This owner's manual is divided into three main sections:

This section outlines the first things you must do before playing the PSR-84/PSR-
85. Including power supply setup and external connections.
€ QUICK OPERATION GUIDE [page 8]
The QUICK OPERATION GUIDE provides simplified operation procedures for sev-
eral of the PSR-84/PSR-85's main features. Each step includes a page number in the
"FEATURE REFERENCE" section on which you can find full details about the corre-
sponding control or feature.
€ FEATURE REFERENCE [page 12]
This section provides full details on all PSR-84/PSR-85 features and controls. The
features are organized in the same way as they are on the PSR-84/PSR-85 panel — in
functional groups such as "OVERALL CONTROL," "AUTO ACCOMPANIMENT,"
"VOICE," etc.
Start with the "PREPARATION" section to ensure that you set up your PSR-84/PSR-85
properly. Then try out the basic features outlined in the *QUICK OPERATION GUIDE,"
referring to the page numbers given if you need more information. Refer to the "FEATURE
REFERENCE" section whenever you need detailed information about a control or feature.
The manual has an INDEX at the back which you can use to quickly locate information about
specific features. The *NOMENCLATURE section which follows also provides page num-
bers on which details about each control can be found.
The Appendices
In addition to the three main sections described above, the manual has five appendices
containing general information about MIDI, PSR-84/PSR-85 polyphony, troubleshoot-
ing, maintenance, and system reset.
