III. 0T-8A ERROR MESSAGE
OT-8A Error Message
This chapter describes the messages of communication errors which may occur in
version 1.0 or later of ROM used in the OT- 8A lens chambers.
Error message
Description
Cause
E101
• Communication error between a lens
chamber and the operation unit.
• DTR control (communication request)
error when communication is started.
• CPU does not operate properly when
OT-8A is turned on.
• The communication cable is broken
• U7 M89251A in the operation unit or a
lens chamber is faulty.
El 02
• Since offset data in EEPROM of a lens
chamber is incorrect, initialization
cannot be done.
• U5 EEPROM is faulty.
• OT-8A was turned on with the DIP
switch SI ON, which disables writing
of data.
• Noise such as static electricity.

• Data cannot be written to EEPROM of
a lens chamber.
• The DIP switch SI which disables

writing of data was set incorrectly.
• U5 EEPROM is faulty.

• These errors occur during debugging of
ROM under development (These do not
appear in products units).
• These errors occur when a bug is found.
