Programme Selection
The chart on page 21 gives details of the
programmes which your machine is
designed to carry out. You will soon
discover which programmes suit your
type of washing up.
If you half load the machine and want to
make up a full load later in the day after
another meal, use the rinse and hold
programme.
Starting the Machine
Turn on the water tap or taps which
supply the machine. Make sure that the
machine is plugged into the electric
socket and that the switch (if any) is on.
Close the door of the machine firmly after
loading it and adding the detergent.
Turn the programme selector knob
clockwise until the index points exactly
to the required programme letter.
If required, press the Economy wash
button and/or Economy drying button.
Note
It is important to press these buttons, if
required, in the order shown on the wash
cycle chart. The On/Off button must
always be pressed last (see wash
programmes).

Stopping the Machine
The machine will stop automatically at
the end of the wash cycle but the pilot
light will remain on until the On/Off
button is pressed.
To stop the machine during a wash cycle,
press the On/Off button.
To restart the machine press the
On/Off button again and the wash
cycle will resume where it was
interrupted.
At the end of the wash cycle, press the
On/Off button, turn off the water
supply, switch off the electricity and
unplug the machine.
Warning
Do not open the door while the machine is
working. There is a safety device
incorporated which automatically stops
the machine if it is opened accidentally.
