USE OF DETERGENT AND ADDITIVES
CHOOSING THE RIGHT
WASHING POWDER
Always use a low lather
powder. This is important as
too much lather prevents the
articles from being properly
cleansed and you may damage
the machine.
Ariel Automatic
is specially designed to
complement the cleaning
action of the machine.
WASHING NET
CURTAINS
To avoid an excessive and
damaging amount of lather it
is advisable to wash large
curtains singularly and take
extra care when measuring the
detergent.
Should an excess of lather
accidentally occur, switch off
the machine, advance the
programme to a pump and
rinse sequence to remove the
lather then start the wash
again.
USE OF WASHING
POWDER
The washing powder should
be placed in the appropriate
compartments in the washing
powder dispenser drawer
before starting the pro¬
gramme.
The compartment marked
with the symbolUJ is for the
prewash powder (if required
by the programme).
The compartment marked
with the symbol
UU
is for the
main wash powder.
HOW MUCH
DETERGENT?
Your washing machine has a
unique water circulation
system
which
runs
continuously. This means that
it uses detergent sparingly.
Initially you are advised to
use less than the quantity
specified by the detergent
manufacturer.
Subsequently it is worth
experimenting to see if your
laundry comes out clean with
smaller quantities.
Powder residue left on the
clothes at the end of a wash
indicates the use of too much
powder. If the drum is only
half-full, you can obviously use
less detergent.
