Actuator does not operate
1s CN1 locked?
YES
Set player in test mode.
Turn REPEAT SW ON.
In this state, does pin 2 of TPS
(FoOUT) exhibit the following
waveform?
YES
In this state, do pins 8, 9 of
IC7 exhibit the following
waveform?
YES
In this state, does pin 1 on
TP 1 (FoRT) exhibit the follow-
ing waveform?
Check for any foreign matter or
mechanical catching in the ac-
tuator.
Lock the connector
Check pins 21 and 22 on IC6
and R69, 70, 73 and C43, 45
for solder bridges and soldering
faults.
OK
Is the output the same when
Yes
CN 1 is disconnected?
NO
Check the flexy PCB for pat-
tern cracks, short circuits,
solder bridges, and for shorts in
the actuator coil.
Check the connection of the
flexy connector (CN 1).
Check the flexy PCB for pat-
tern cracks, soldering faults.
And for open circuits in the
actuator coil.
Check pin 16 on IC6 and C49
for soldering fauits.
Check from pin 21 on IC6 via R35 to
pin 7 on IC7, and the circuits around
pins 6-9 on IC7 for pattern cracks,
solder bridges, and soldering faults.
