PREAMPLIFIER CONTROLS

INPUT
Input jack for instrument.

ACTIVE
Input jack for active or high output instruments such as those with built in
preamplifiers..

PASSIVE
Input jack for most passive instruments, lie those without built in preamplifier}

GAIN
Sets the overall gain of the amplifier to suit the instrument being used, set as high as
possible without distortion, then adjust the volume to suit. May need resetting after
EQ changes.

BASS
Sets the bass frequency response.

MIDDLE
5ets the middle frequency response.

TREBLE
Sets the high frequency response.

MIDSWEEP
Sweeps the middle frequencies, for LO mid move anticlockwise and for HI mid
clockwise, (use with 9)

MIDGAIN
Sets the gain of the middle frequencies, for mid cut move anticlockwise and for mid
boost clockwise.

GRAPHIC EQ
Six band graphic equaliser, use to set the middle frequencies. For best sounds set
sliders to gradual curves and avoid extremes.

COMPRESSOR
Compresses the input signal, giving a punchier sound. Use in conjunction with gain
control 4.

HI
Boosts the high frequencies.

LO
Boosts the extreme low frequencies, especially useful on 5 string bass guitars.

BRIGHT
Adds brightness to the EQ.

VOLUME
Sets the overall listening level of the amplifier.

LED
indicates power on.

DIRECT INJECT
Stereo 1/4" Jack socket for direct injection of the amplifier signal to a mixing desk or
power amplifier. This provides a low impedance output signal. (Balanced output,
sleeve: ground, tip: hot, ring: cold.

DIRECT INJECT
XLR socket for direct injection of the amplifier signal to a mixing desk or power
amplifier. This provides a low impedance output signal. (balanced output, pin 1:
ground, pin 2: hot, pin 3: cold ).

Mains/power fuse. Replace only with correct type and rating.
