Turn this control clockwise to increase the low frequency
and counter clockwise to decrease it.

cy and counter clockwise to decrease it.
OQ MASTER VOLUME control
Turn this control clockwise to increase the master volume
level and counter clockwise to decrease it.
'6 DSP key and indicator
The indicator comes on and DSP effect is applied to the
playback sound when the DSP key is pressed. Normal play-
back is restored when the key is pressed a second time.
Note that DSP is not applied if DSP or digital input is be-
ing used during simulrecording.

@ MODE key
Press to select the desired sound field among eight preset
sound field modes.

@ MUTING key and indicator
Indicator
comes
on and volume
is lowered
when
the
MUTING key is pressed. Volume is returned to former level
when pressed a second time.
@ BTL key and indicator
Press this key to activate the BTL circuit that switches from
a 4-channel circuit to a 2-channel circuit. At this time, this
unit enters the high power output of the 2-channel ampli-
fier and sound is output only through the speakers con-
nected to the FRONT terminals. Press this key a second
time to return to the 4-channel circuit.
@® INPUT LEVEL control
When using the DSP function, adjust this control to a po-
sition where the OVER indicator flashes on and off a few
times. If the input level is too low, the digital sound proces-
sor will not be effective,
resulting in unwanted
noise.

@ DIGITAL INPUT key
Press this key during playback of input signal from DBS
tuner, CD player, or DAT deck. The indicator comes on
to indicate that the input is a digital signal. Press a second
time to return to analog signal. This key has no effect when
in Dolby Surround mode, or when a DSP or digital input
is applied during simulrecording.
@SIMUL-REC MONITOR key
Playback is switched alternately to "System A" and "System
B" each time this key is pressed.
The indicators are also
switched accordingly.
@REC. CANCEL key
After pressing
this key, press the RECORD
key © to
release the audio/video recording system connections.
@ RECORD key
Press to select recording deck at Audio and Video Record-
ing.

Press to select video source at Independent Playback of Au-
dio and Video.
€ AUDIO SOURCE key
Press to select audio source at Independent Playback of Au-
dio and Video.
@ Selector keys and indicators
Select input source and audio/video recording deck

Use to control the left and right balance of the front speaker
volume levels. The right speaker level is increased by turn -
ing clockwise, and the left speaker level is increased by
turning counter clockwise.
€ PHONES Jack
Connect the headphones plug to this jack to use a par of
headphones.
Note that speakers are switched off vhen
using headphones.
@ REMOTE SENSOR Window

Indicates audio/video recording deck being used.
@ SAMPLING FREQUENCY indicators
32kHz.. . .Comes on when in DBS tuner A mode or ong
