MODEL 3K10
HIGH VOLTAGE PRECISION POWER SOURCE
50 - 3,000 VDC
SERIAL NU^mER ^/no n/
The Model 3K10 Laboratory
Power Source is ideally suited
for operating photomultipiier
tubes, small high-resolution
CRT displays and other devices
which require criticaily-stable,
noise-free DC power.
This compact, solid-state supply
achieves high efficiency and
reduced size through the use of
new high-frequency technology.
A novel bail-handle assembly
permits the front panei to tilt for
optimum viewing angle and control.
ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Input: 103-129 VAC, 47-440 Hz, 60 Watts.
Output: Continuously adjustable between 50 and
3,000 VDC at 0 - 10 milliamperes.
Stability: The Model 3K10 has less than 100 ppm
output voltage drift per hour and less than 300 ppm
drift per 24 hours under constant load, line
voltage and ambient temperature after warm-up
(above 200 VDC).
Noise and Ripple: 10 millivolts peak-to-peak to
500 KHz.
Regulation: 0.001% or 3 millivolts (whichever is
greater) for line or load variations within the
operating range.
Calibration Accuracy: 0.25% of switch settings
above 500 VDC; 0.5% of switch settings above
200 VDC; typically 5% above 50 VDC.
Resettability: 0.03% or 0.1 volt (whichever is
greater) in any 24-hour period.
Resolution: 25 millivolts (fine adjustment
potentiometer).
Temperature Coefficient: Less than 50 ppm/°C
change in output voltage after warmup.
Operating Temperature Range: Continuous duty at
full load from 0°C to 50°C.

FEATURES
Voltage Controls: The Model 3K10 features a
precision calibrated voltage divider which
provides 0- 2,500 volts in five 500-volt steps;
0 - 400 voits in four 100 volt steps; and 0-100
volts continuous fine adjustment by means
of a 10-turn potentiometer.
Protection: Fast-acting electronic overload and
short-circuit protection permits the Model 3K10
power source to operate into a short circuit or
overload with automatic restoration upon fault
clearance.
Polarity Reversing: A polarity reversal switch
located on the rear of the Model 3K10 permits
operation with either positive or negative output
terminal at ground potential.
Output Terminals: Positive or negative DC output
is supplied from two standard BNC "safety"
high-voltage receptacles located on the rear
chassis surface of the 3K10.
