INSTALLATION NOTES Network connection See the technical data table for the specifi cations of the connection cables. 5.1.1 Zone panel connection The connection is made using an Ethernet cable from the pumping station to the zone panels, as shown in the fi gure. CAUTION: the maximum allowed length of an Ethernet connection between two devices is 100 m (for longer distanc- es, use switch P/N KITSE08000).

    Distribution system 5.2.1 Drain valve management (NOL) The pumping station manages and controls the line drain valve (NOL, normally open). The zone panel can also manage a con- nected line drain valve. Notice: the line drain valve must be fi tted at the lowest point in the water circuit and wired to the nearest electrical pan- el (pumping station or zone panel), so that when opened, the entire system is emptied.

The maximum allowable length for the water line leaving and re-entering the directbox or that, if no directbox is installed, connects the fi ll valve to the drain valve, is 30 m.

  • Page 24 If, on the other hand, the humidifi er is supplied with water from a Carel reverse osmosis system connected to the potable water supply network, the double check valve must be installed on the inlet to the reverse osmosis system.

    Electrical connections Before making the connections, make sure that the unit is disconnected from the power supply: turn the main system switch and pumping station switch to OFF.     Control connections The type of control is selected on the user interface. See the humidifi cation system commissioning manual.     For duct humidifi cation, any biocides used for cleaning can only be added discontinuously. Based on its extensive experience in designing intrinsically-safe high-pressure systems that automatically prevent water stagnation, Carel strongly recommends against using biocides as a cleaning method for the humidifi er components in contact with water, unless microbiological con- tamination has been proven.
