Connecting the VCR
Before you use your VCR for the first time, you need to connect it to your TV. This VCR
doesn't have a TV tuner. Therefore, to record TV programmes, connect equipment with a TV
tuner to the LINE IN jacks or EURO-AV connector.
This section explains how to hookup and set up your VCR so that you can start enjoying it
right away.
Before you get started
¢ Turn off the power to all equipment.
¢ Do not connect the mains lead until all of the connections are completed.
e Be sure you make connections firmly. Loose connections may cause picture distortion.
e If your TV doesn't match any of the examples provided, see your nearest Sony dealer or
qualified personnel.
Audio/video (A/V) hookup
If your TV has an S video input connector, you will get a better picture using the supplied S video cable. If not, use an
audio/video cable only.
