NOTE:
if you press the SLEEP button during Sleep operation, the time
remaining till the power turns off is displayed. Da not press the
LEEP button when the remaining time is displayed. Otherwise,
the setting changes and the sleep timer cannot function properly.
AUTO SLEEP
elf you press the SLEEP button during CD piay, tape playback,
orduring recording, and select "AUTO", power is automatically
switched OFF a few minutes after the CD or tape stops playing,
or recording finishes.
eif AUTO
SLEEP
is used
during
relay playback,
power
automatically switches OFF after playback of two sides when
only one cassette tape is loaded, and after playback of four
sides when two cassette tapes are loaded.
#You cannot select AUTO SLEEP during CO REPEAT play.
During CD play: AUTO SLEEP operation changes depending
on the mode as follows:
ALL
: Power automaticaily switches OFF after the 25th
CD finishes playing.
SINGLE
—: Power automatically switches OFF after the CD
currently playing finishes,

Demagnetizing the cassette deck heads
The deck heads may become
magnetized after the deck has
been used for a fong period of time, or if a magnet or other
magnetized object (screwdriver, etc.) is brought near the heads.
Magnatization
of the heads
results in increased
noise and
reduced ability to reproduce high-frequency sounds.
In this
case,
please
use
a commercially
available
head
demagnetizer
at regular intervals to eliminate the magnetic
fieid on the heads. When
using a head demagnetizer, turn this
unit's power switch ON. In order to prevent adverse
effects on
the receiver and speakers, however, be sure to turn down the
receiver's volume control to its lowest position, and disconnect
any headphones from their headphones
jack. For details, consult
the instructions accompanying your head demagnetizer.
ir Maintenance of external surfaces
@ Use a polishing cloth or dry clath to wipe off dust and dirt.
When
the surfaces are dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in
some neutral cleanser diluted five or six times with water, and
wrung out well, and then wipe again with a dry cloth, Do not
use furniture wax or cleaners.
@Never
use
thinners,
benzine,
insecticide
sprays
or other
chemicals on or near this unit, since these will corrode the
surfaces.
