• A longer cable or an extension cord
should only be used if the following
precautions are observed:
a. The specified electrical rating of the
cable or extension cord must match
the rating of the appliance.
b. The extension cord must be earthed.
c. A longer cable should be routed so
that it will not be pulled across a
countertop or elevated surface where
children can pull or trip over it.
• When preparing, always ensure that the
appliance is oriented so that the heavier
side of the appliance is on the bottom, so
steam can form and the batter will rise.
• ALWAYS WEAR OVEN GLOVES when
handling hot components or touching
the surface.
• This appliance should only ever
be serviced by a qualified service
technician. The contact information for
our customer service can be found in
this user manual.
• If the unit emits black smoke,
IMMEDIATELY UNPLUG the plug and
wait for the smoke to clear.
• During operation, the internal
temperature of the appliance reaches
very high temperatures. NEVER put
your hands into the appliance until it has
completely cooled down.
• During operation, the appliance must
never be placed against the wall or close
to other household appliances. NEVER
place objects on the appliance.
• NEVER store the appliance outdoors.
• NEVER use the appliance near water, i.e.
near the kitchen sink or similar places.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Never place the appliance on the stove,
even when it is switched off, as it could
accidentally be switched on, creating an
acute fire hazard that could damage the
appliance, the stove, and other parts of
your home.
• Do not use the appliance on or near
flammable materials such as tablecloths
and curtains.
• When operating the appliance, ensure
that it is placed on a suitable, heat-
resistant work surface.
• NEVER place the appliance in a
container or in a narrow/confined space
during operation and DO NOT place
inedible products on the baking moulds.
• Only ever operate the appliance on a
horizontal surface that is stable and
non-flammable.
• NEVER leave the appliance unattended
when it is in operation.
• Do not use raw meat, raw chicken, raw
fish or raw eggs as a filling: If necessary,
pre-cook the fillings. Fillings made
from raw meat, raw chicken, raw fish
and raw eggs will not be cooked by the
appliance. The fillings consisting of
these raw foods should therefore be
pre-cooked beforehand. See the recipe
guide for more specific instructions.
• Never attempt to force the appliance
shut. Remove excess batter or filling.
• DO NOT try to open the appliance to
remove ingredients during operation.
• DO NOT use sharp utensils (knives or
forks) to remove waffles from oven.
Such kitchen utensils can damage the
surface.
