HEAD AZIMUTH

ADJUSTMENTS
Load and play a TEAC MTT-150 test tape.
Make sure the phase relationship between the 2 signals
(left channel and right channel) is within 45° on the
oscilloscope.
Load a TEAC MTT-116U test tape.
Play the 10 kHz signal section of the tape.
Slowly
adjust
the
azimuth
adjusting nut
for the
maximum indication on the VTVM.
Secure the nut with a drop of locking paint.

Load and play a TEAC MTT-150 test tape.
Adjust VR102/202 for 100 mV (—18 dB) on VTVM
connected to the CAL test points.
Change the VITVM connection to the OUTPUT jacks.
Set the OUTPUT controls fully clockwise.
Confirm that the output level is —3.5 dB + 1 dB (461
mV ~ 580 mV).
IMPORTANT
After this setting is done, do not disturb the Specified
Control Setting of the OUTPUT controls until the remain-
ing checks and adjustments are completed.
