Caution
- Never use torque wrench beyond the maximum torque setting (14Nm) or to
loosen a component's threaded fastener. Over torquing will affect its accuracy
or will even cause serious damage to the ratcheting mechanism.
- DV-10000 torque wrench should never be used as a standard ratcheting
wrench.
- Dial the lowest torque setting after each use specially when storing torque
wrench.
- Store carefully in a clean and dry place. Clean with a dry cloth. Water and
solvents should be avoided to preserve lubricant inside.
Instructions
Please refer to component manufacturers' recommended torque specifications.
1. To ensure perfect inner lubrication during the first use or after long storage,
dial a high torque setting and make the wrench click a few times by pushing the
head on the side with the thumb. A "click" is heard and felt.
2. Consult fastener torque specifications provided by component
manufacturers to prevent over tightening and under tightening of bolts and nuts.
3. Push locking ring to unlock and turn until desired torque setting is displayed
by index (red line) in scale window. When torque is reached, stop pushing locking ring
and spring tension will bring it back to "lock" position automatically.
If you need to reach a torque value between two markings (for ex. 3Nm – Fig. 1), index
(red line) must be centered between 2 and 4Nm while aligning locking ring (on "1"
setting) with the triple V-shaped arrow.
4. Fit appropriate bit onto square head of torque wrench. Tighten the
component's threaded fastener with steady force and stop immediately when you
hear and feel the wrench click.
Important : wrench will not stop applying torque automatically when preset torque is
reached.
