    1. Safety 1.1 Warnings Warnings differ according to the hazard by the following signal words: • CAUTION Warning of demage to property! • WARNING Warning of bodily injury! • DANGER Warning of danger to life! The structure of the warning/information notice is as follows: CAUTION / WARNING / DANGER Type and source of the hazard! Measures to avoid the hazard.

Never use or store the unit near or in connection with flammable substances and fire-causing objects, devices and appliances. DANGER Maintenance, cleaning, repair and adjustment work may only be carried out when the activity chair us unoccupied.

The surfaces of the appliance can heat up due to heat input (e.g. stoves, sunlight)! Heating of the surfaces of over 40 °C is possible. WARNING The activity chair must not be used in wet areas (bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.), used or stored outdoors or in the environment with high humidity.

CAUTION For transporting or storing the device, removable and unattached parts should be packed separately. This is the only way to ensure that the product and parts are protected from external influences.

    Scope of application The Pauli activity chair was designed to support therapeutic processes. Pauli is a fully adjustable activity chair with built-in growth options and designed for children and adolescents. It is used in the general living area, in the care area as well as in the home area.

    4.1 Scope of delivery and basic equipment The Pauli activity chair is usually delivered fully assembled and preset to the patient's dimensions by an authorised medical supply dealer (operator). The Pauli activity chair is available in different sizes. You can find more information about size and maximum weight loads in the table shown in the chapter "Technical data".

    5.1 Commissioning Checking the settings and function Before the patient can be positioned in the activity chair Pauli, the Pauli activity chair must be adjusted to the needs of the patient. The exact descriptions of individual adjustment possibilities to the patient's needs are given in the following chapter.

    6. Operating/adjusting the activity chair and accessories 6.1 Backrest Backrest angle Do this procedure on both sides. Loosen the wing screws on both sides. 3 full turns are sufficient for this. Adjust the backrest to the desired angle. Retighten the wing screws [1]. For less friction before adjustment, loosen the cylinder screws [2] on both sides.

    6.2 Armrest Loosen the wing screw [1]. 2 to 3 full turns are sufficient for this. Move the armrest to the desired height. Tighten the wing screw again. Repeat the procedure for the second armrest. WARNING When adjusting, be aware of the danger of pinching and crushing.

    6. Operating/adjusting the activity chair and accessories Angle adjustment DANGER Only make adjustments when the activity chair is unoccupied. Increased risk of injury. Turn the star knob to the right or left to set the desired inclination. CAUTION  The angle adjustment is limited! As soon as an increased resistance occurs, the end position is reached.

    Tray depth adjustment Loosen the wing screws [1] on both sides. 2 to 3 full turns are sufficient for this. Adjust the depth of the table to the desired position by sliding it forwards or backwards. Tighten the wing screws [1] on both sides. IMPORTANT Then check that the table is in the correct position and that the wing screws are screwed on tightly.

WARNING Retighten all screw connections after each adjustment! Fold down Pull the locking bolt [4] down and hold it.

Press the sleeve nuts [1] in picture (A) against the backrest and loosen the hexagonal screws [2] in picture (B). Remove the sleeve nuts [1] and the hexagonal screws [2]. Adjust the height of the headrest using the corresponding holes on the headrest.

Adjustment of the 2-point pelvic belt The adjustment of the 2-point-pelvic belt is first done by adjusting the webbing on the buckles [3] or [4].

[1] and [2] to the backrest and seat plate on the outside by attaching the strap [1] to the two folding buckles [4] on the backrest and strap [4] on the seat plate.

    7. Cleaning and disinfection The device and its accessories must not be sprayed with liquid agents to avoid possible liquid penetration. To avoid skin irritations or allergic reactions, make sure that no residues of cleaning products or disinfectants remain on the surfaces. Dry the parts thoroughly afterwards.

    Regular care and maintenance CAUTION The Pauli activity chair Pauli must be serviced every 12 months, taking into account any maintenance intervals that have been carried out earlier. IMPORTANT The inspection plan from chapter "8.3 Inspection plan" must be used to document the perfect condition of the activity chair as well as any anomalies, faults and defects! At regular intervals, the activity chair must be maintained and serviced by qualified personnel.

    9.1 Re-use The Pauli activity chair is suitable for reuse (e.g. after storage or transport), although products in reuse are subject to special stress. The operator/care provider is responsible for the perfect condition of the device and the necessary reprocessing when it is used again.

    11. Disposal The activity chair Pauli must be disposed of properly. Please contact your specialist dealer for this. Packaging materials are to be separated according to their waste types and disposed of via the waste containers in accordance with the municipal recycling concept. Waste disposal can vary from municipality to municipality.

    Warranty services refer to defects of the product that are demonstrably due to material or manufacturing defects. We guarantee the wooden frame of the Pauli activity chair for 2 years from the date of delivery. Any defects will be repaired by Rehatec® GmbH free of charge. Upholstery and castors are excluded from the guarantee.
