Initial Procedure (Direct Steam)
(1) Open the drain valve.
(2) Open the steam supply valve.
(3) Adjust
the
pressure
regulator
to
the
desired pressure. Turn the handle clockwise
to
increase
the
pressure
and
counter-
clockwise
to
decrease
the
pressure.
A
preheating
period
of
10

Operation
(1) Load the sterilizer, leaving enough space
between the packs to permit free circulation
of steam.
Packing too close of fabric loads
slows the cycle and may cause sterilization
failure.
(2)
Close
the
door
and
tighten
the
handwheel securely. The handwheel will not
operate
until
the
door
locking
arms
are
properly located
in the end
rings.
This
is
accomplished
by rotating the quick throw
handie clockwise.
(3) Turn the operating valve to the sterilize
position.
