Each time the terminal is filled with Unique
fill, the user must complete the following six
steps before placing aSTU II KDC Mode call.
1. Press
2. Insert CIK. Turn it one-quarter turn clock¬

3 . L i f t h a n d s e t .
4. Enter local five-digit ID.
5 . C a l l K D C
6. When call completed, hang up.

9. Enter the KDC phone number.
10. Press ISCROLL I(q jf,g phone number.

to exit program mode.

2. Insert CIK. Turn it one-quarter turn clock¬

plex calls; off for full-duplex calls.

5. Enter five-digit ID or press memory dial
key for the far end equipment to be called.
6. Call KDC if prompted by terminal, or pro¬
ceed to next step.
7. Place clear call to other party.
8. Tell the other party you want to have ase¬
c u r e c o n v e r s a t i o n .

2. Be sure MUTE annunciator is off. If not,
the clear mode muted option has been set.
3. Dial phone number.
4. Speak into handset or speakerphone.
5. To end call, place handset on-hook or press

seconds to enter secure mode. During this
time, both handsets are disabled. SECURE

10. Speak into handset.
11. To end call, place handset on-hook.

4. Enter phone number, press IMXX |to store
and exit or, enter phone number, press

5. Press IPBGM |at any time to return to idle
