    T2s Tag Overview The STANLEY Healthcare T2s Tag is a component of our enterprise-level visibility solution based on standard Wi-Fi communication for location-based applications. These battery-powered tags can be worn by patients and staff or attached to a variety of assets, such as medical devices.     L ong Ba tte ry L ife The T2s Tag has a single replaceable battery that can provide power for up to 2 years (depending on use case). The tag is able to report its battery level, which is displayed in MobileView.
  • Page 7 T a g Pro g ra m m a bility a nd Sto ra g e The T2s Tag can store up to 15 messages of 15 bytes each. These messages can either be pre-programmed via the Tag Manager Application or programmed on the fly by an Exciter, when a tag is in close proximity to it.

    T2s Tag Tag Attachment and Mounting Options The T2s Tag is enclosed in a compact case and offers a variety of attachment and mounting options. The tags can be worn by patients using a wrist strap, attached to staff members and other personnel using a T2s Staff Badge Cradle, mounted to assets using a T2s Asset Tag Cradle or attached to a sigma pump using a special sigma pump mounting bracket.

    T2s Tag Using the T2s Staff Badge Cradle The T2s Staff Badge Cradle is used to attach the tag to staff members’ shirts or scrubs. The cradle kit is supplied with a vinyl and plastic clip and integrates seamlessly with a personal identification badge and/or a retractable reel.

    Attaching the Plastic Clip to the Staff Cradle 1. Make sure the tag is not in the cradle. 2. Hold the cradle (1) and plastic clip (2) with the STANLEY Healthcare text facing you, with the clips pointing downwards. 3. Place the plastic clip over the top of the cradle (3).

    T2s Tag Using the T2s Asset Tag Cradle The T2s Asset Tag Cradle allows you to mount the tag to assets using screws, tie- wraps, velcro or adhesives. Tie wraps can be also be used to secure the tag to the cradle, if required.

    T2s Tag Removing the Tag from the Asset Cradle 1. Hold the cradle and place your finger or thumb on the edge of the cradle’s flange clip (1). 2. Gently open the flange clip (2) until the tag clicks out of place and then remove the tag (3).

    T2s Tag Mounting the Asset Cradle using Tie Wraps Tie wraps can be used to mount assets to objects that are either narrow in width, such as a scope cable, or objects that are slightly wider in width, such as pole. Long or short tie wraps can be used.

    T2s Tag Mounting the Asset Cradle using Adhesives or Velcro The T2s Asset Tag Cradle can be mounted to an asset or surface by using adhesives, such as double-sided tape or velcro. You can insert the tag into the cradle before or after applying adhesives or velcro to the cradle.

    T2s Tag Mounting the Asset Cradle Using Screws The cradle can be mounted to an asset or surface by using the cradle screw kit. 1. Make sure the tag is not in the cradle. 2. Place and hold the empty cradle firmly on an asset or surface.

    T2s Tag Securing the Tag to the Asset Cradle The T2s Asset Tag Cradle has a small opening under the flange clip, for a tie wrap, which is used to secure the tag to the cradle. The thinner tie wrap (TAC-060) must be used when securing the tag to the asset cradle.

    T2s Tag Using the T2s Sigma Pump Mounting Bracket The T2s Sigma Pump Mounting Bracket, together with a T2s Asset Tag Cradle, is used to attach the tag securely to a sigma pump.   • Page 27 T2s Tag Installing Tag The tag snaps into the tag cradle of the mounting bracket with the ‘STANLEY’ logo facing outward. Snap the tag in by hooking the top-groove of the tag into the lip of the cradle bracket and then pushing the bottom of the tag into the cradle until it clicks into place.

    T2s Tag Using the MX40 Cradle TAC-268 The following section explains how to use the MX40 monitor cradle (SKU: TAC-268). Inserting the Tag into the Cradle The tag must be inserted correctly into the cradle before inserting the MX40 monitor.

    T2s Tag Removing the MX40 Monitor from the Cradle 1. Hold the monitor firmly with one hand (1). 2. While holding the monitor (1), use your other hand and pull the front tip of the cradle forward (2) (3). Note: Bend the cradle slightly. Too much exertion may crack the cradle.

    T2s Tag Tag Management The T2s Tag can be configured, programmed, activated and deactivated, wirelessly, using the Tag Manager Application together with a Tag Activator or TED device, which are part of the Hardware Manager Kit.
