COMPLEX NUMBER CALCULATION
Complex number calculation:
To carry out complex number calculations, first set
the calculator to the
Complex
number mode (CPLX mode). In
the
CPLX
mode the calculator can perform the
four arithmetic functions, as well as, serial calculations.
To
put
the
calculator
into
CPLX mode press the
~
key and the
~
key
.
A [!l;IJJ
symbol
is displayed
on the upper right of
the
screen
to
show that the calculator
is in
CPLX mode.
To clear this mode press the
~
key and the
~
key when
the
C!l;IJJ
symbol
is
being displayed. (The
[!1;1JJ
symbol will disappear.)
A complex number
is
represented in the a
+
bi format. The
"a"
is
the real
part
while the
"bi"
is the imaginary part. When
inputting
the real part, after
inputting
the number press the
W
key. When inputting the imaginary part, after
inputting
the number press the
w
key. To obtain the result press the
§
key
.
