IMPORTANT NOTE!
Your DC-221 2 Intelligent Modem is factory preset with the AUTO
ANSWER switch in the OUT position . At power-up , this switch
position provides the " Auto-Dial Mode " which is the proper setting for
most software applications.
Under XENIX , however, this switch must be set to the
IN
position for
proper operation . (The
IN
position provides " true carrier detect. " )
Also note that on Xenix versions prior to 3. 0, the unattended auto-dial
feature is not supported.
