@ Handle lock button
Push this button for detaching the handle.
For details,
refer to page 8.
@® Tuning control/Tuning dial
Permit the unit to be tuned in any broadcast you want to
listen to.
@® Power on/off timer
Permits the unit to be automatically
switched on or off
within the limits of about 120 minutes
after the timer is
set.
* To switch on the unit:
Set the Power on/off switch® to the ON position. Turn
the Power on/off timer clockwise until the desired time,
after the lapse of which you want the unit to be auto-
matically switched on, appears in the center of the set
time indicator.
* To switch off the unit:
Set the Power on/off switch® to the OFF position. Turn
the Power on/off timer clockwise until the desired time,
after the lapse of which you want the unit to be auto-
matically switched off, appears in the center of the set
time indicator.
Notes:
1. Figures appearing
in the set time indicator
express the time in minutes.
2. When
turning the Power
on/off timer@
to
set the automatic ''switch-off'' time, first go
beyond the target time by several
minutes
and then return to the target time.

® Voltage selector
This radio is set at the factory to operate at 220~240V
AC.
If your
household
voltage
is 110~125V
AC, reset
this selector (refer to page 3).
@ AFC/DX-LOCAL
selector switch
This is used only when listening to an FM or MW broad-
cast, and
has nothing to do with the reception
of SW
broadcasts.
