    VENTING CL26.IPI.1A Page 12 VERTICAL VENT INSTALLATION When planning your installation determine if ceiling joists, roof rafters, or other framing will obstruct the vent system. You may have to use 45° elbows to navigate around obstacles. Always maintain a 1” clearance around the vertical vent pipe when passing through ceilings, roofs, enclosures, attic rafters, or any combustible surfaces.

Install flashing with the upper portion slid under the roofing material and the lower portion over the roofing material (Fig. 5). Consult local codes for minimum vent cap height above the roof.

    CL26.IPI.1A REMOTE OPERATION Page 25 PROFLAME 2 REMOTE OPERATION The Proflame 2 System consists of a Wall Mount Remote and an Integrated Fireplace Controller (IFC). The remote provides control for the following appliance functions: 1. Main Burner ON/OFF 2. Main Burner flame modulation (6 levels) 3.
  • Page 26 CL26.IPI.1A REMOTE OPERATION Page 26 Initializing the System Install three AAA batteries into the remote battery bay, located on its base. Power up the appliance the IFC then push the red “sync” button on the IFC. Next, push the ON button on the remote. The IFC will “beep” to indicate the remotes’s command is accepted and sets to the particular code of the remote.

With the system ON and the flame level in the high position, pressing the Down Arrow Key once will reduce the flame height by one step, and so on until the flame is turned off. The Up Arrow Key will increase the flame height in a similar fashion.
  • Page 28 REMOTE OPERATION CL26.IPI.1A Page 28 Smart Thermostat The Smart Thermostat function adjusts the flame height in accordance to the difference between the set point temperature and actual room temperatures. As the room temperature gets closer to the set point, the Smart Function will modulate the flame down.
  • Page 29 REMOTE OPERATION CL26.IPI.1A Page 29 Continuous Pilot / Intermittent Pilot (CPI/IPI) Selection With the system in “OFF” position, press the Mode Key to index to the CPI mode icon. When enabled it will act as a Standing Pilot unit with an automatic shutoff timer that will turn the pilot off after 7 days. Pressing the Up Arrow Key will activate the Continuous Pilot Ignition mode (CPI).
