Important safety information
READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
Please read through the following safety precautions carefully before switching on the
toaster.
Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. Also keep the sales
receipt and, if possible, the gift box with the inner packaging.
Failure to follow all the instruction listed may result in electric shock, fire or serious
personal injury.
Before plugging the Toaster into the mains electrical supply, check that the voltage and
power supply comply with the specifications indicated on the rating plate of the appli-
ance.
The Toaster is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
The Toaster may be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person respon-
sible for their safety.
lt is imperative that children aged from 8 years and above are carefully instructed to use
the Toaster in a safe way and that they understand the hazards involved. Children should
only be allowed to clean the Toaster whilst under adult supervision.
Always place the Toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Also ensure that the
surface can take the weight of the unit during use.
The toaster is intended for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
Always keep the Toaster out of reach of children. Close adult supervision is necessary
when the toaster is used by or near children. Children should not play with the appliance.
The Toaster should not be used for commercial purposes. The toaster should only be
used for its intended purpose.
Do not leave the Toaster unattended when in use.
Do not move or lilt the Toaster while it is operating or while it is connected to an electrical
socket.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by any means of an external timer or
separate remote control system.
The use of attachments, not specifically recommended by the manufacturer, must not
be used as they may cause personal injury or damage to the Toaster.
Take care when using the Toaster as it reaches very high temperatures and the outside
surfaces are liable to get hot during use. DO NOT touch the outside surfaces during use,
particularly in the area of the toasting slots. Use handle or knob.
Bread & halved bagel may burn. Therefore the Toaster must not be used near or below
curtains, draperies, wall and other combustible materials.
Do not place the cable or any other object over the toasting slots whilst the Toaster is in
operation.
Do not attempt to dislodge food while the Toaster is in operation.
The Pop-up lever must be in the 'UP' position before connecting or disconnecting the
plug from wall outlet.
Do not insert oversize food, metal objects or other utensils into the Toaster as this will
cause an electric shock or cause a fire.
Do not operate the Toaster if the plug or power cord has been damaged, is not working
properly, has been dropped or has been exposed to water or other liquid, or has been
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair, or adjustment.
