Before starting the equipment, you must
-
Remove the Protective Caps
-
Install the handle bar
-
Install grass catchment basket/mulch-
ing kit/lateral ejection canal if required
-
Install the starter cord
-
Fill with engine oil
-
Fill with petrol
-
adjust cutting height if required

Installing the Handle Bar

Caution! When installing
the handle bar, ensure that
the Bowden cables are not
squashed.
1. With a wrench (size 13) remove
bar mounting and nuts (26) on
equipment
2. Attach lower handlebar (4) with
screws and nuts (26) of handle-
bar.
3. Unfold upper handlebar (1) (small
picture) and push locking lever
(20) toward bar.
4. Fix the Bowden cables to the
bar using the cable clamp (5)
Install/empty grass catchment
basket
Caution: Do not operate the
equipment with the grass collec-
tion box or impact protection in-
stalled incompletely. Risk of injury
Assemble grass catchment
basket:
1. Push basket rods (27) into
basket net (28).
2. Pull plastic loops (29) over
basket rods.
Insert the handle into the grass box and
fix it with the enclosed screw.

Fixing the Grass Collection
Box onto the Equipment:
Before using the catchment bas-
ket, the mulching kit and the lateral
ejection canal have to be removed.

3. Lift up shock protection (6).
4. Hook the grass collection box
(19) into the mounting provided
for this (30) on the rear of the
equipment.
5. Release the impact protection
(6). It holds the grass collection
box in position.
Dismantling/Empty out the
Grass Collection Box:
6. Lift the impact protection (6) and
remove the grass collection box
(19).
7. Empty catchment basket (see
chapter „Disposal / Environmen-
tal Protection") and re-install it.

Mulching kit

Before using the mulching kit,
the lateral ejection canal has to
be removed. (see
Installing mulching kit
1. Remove the catchment basket
(
19), if mounted.
2. Lift the shock protection (6).
3. Insert mulching kit (24). The red
safety button clicks in.
Remove mulching kit
4. Lift the shock protection (6).
5. Push the red safety button down
and remove the mulching kit.
