HAPTER BOUT THE The XF is a uniquely designed system that has a protective enclosure with a supplemental battery and power management system and an integrated thermal printer. Together these standard features provide ruggedness and extends the functionality for prequalified mobile devices that use the Android™ operating system.
XF1R2 Integration & User Guide Power The XF contains a removable lithium ion battery that supplies power to its electronics, and connected peripherals (such as the printer). It also supplements power to the mobile device. You can “hot-swap” the removable battery with another to extend the operating time of the system indefinitely without interruption.

XF1R2 Integration & User Guide Volume Buttons The XF extends the volume control buttons of the mobile device to the outside of the enclosure. Use these buttons to raise or lower the audio volume. Additionally, an application can utilize these buttons to perform other functions, such as triggering the bar code scanner.
Operation State Description The battery has completely depleted or been removed. In this state, the unit cannot print, scan, read cards or provide supplemental power to the mobile device. Note: When charging the device and both the Charge and Battery LEDs are red, either the supplemental battery is not present, or the gas gauge for the mobile device’s battery is not available.

Operation Paper Installation Use the following procedure to insert a paper roll into the printer’s paper compartment 1. Insert the paper roll into the paper compartment with the loose end of paper oriented as shown. 2. Extend the loose end of paper a short distance toward the bottom of the unit. 3.

Operation Mobile Device and Battery Storage The following procedures are generic instructions. Check your mobile device documentation for specific guidance, recommendations and/or requirements. If you plan to store the mobile device and/or the XF for an extended peiriod: 1. Remove the supplemental battery. 2.
Android Development Studio you are using. Two Technologies no longer supports the Eclipse ADT since Android has discontinued support it. Warning: Two Technologies does not support rooting, flashing, or altering the stock XF firmware (other than official updates).
XF1R2 Integration & User Guide Debugging You can use the Android Debug Bridge (ADB), found in the Android SDK Platform-Tools package, to communicate with the XF through a USB or wireless connection to install and debug apps. To use ADB over USB, you must enable USB debugging in the mobile device’s system settings, under Developer options.
