Tap the right soft key function Menu > New.

Enter a destination number or tap Menu > Add Recipient to select a contact.
Note: Use the virtual QWERTY keyboard to place a semicolon between numbers, if there
is more than one recipient.

Tap the message body.

Enter your message text.

Tap left soft key function Send to send the message.
Note: There is a 146-character limit for text messages. The limit applies to messages sent
using Text Messaging only. If you send a text message with more than 146 characters, the
message is truncated after the first 146 characters and the remaining characters are then
sent in consecutive messages until the entire message text has been sent. Charges apply
in accordance with the sender's and the recipient's calling plans.

Message Option

New Text Messages Options
Several message features are available under Menu when creating a new text message.
1.
From the Today screen, tap Main Menu > Message > Text Messages.
Note: If Text Messages is not shown at the upper left screen, tap the Inbox drop down
menu and tap Text Messages.

Tap the right soft key function Menu > New.
3.
Tap the right soft key function Menu.
Add Recipient: Browse for and attach a recipient from your contacts.
Check Names: Check contacts for the name of the recipient.
My Text: (Available when in the text field.) Choose from up to 9 pre-loaded
messages. You can add 10 additional messages.
Save to Drafts: Saves the message to the draft folder.
Spell Check: Spell check your message.
Cancel Message: Cancels the new message.
