Bluetooth Settings
The Bluetooth wireless technology settings menu provides the ability to view and change
the device name, show the visibility, and set the security for the device.
1.
From the Today screen, drag and drop the Wireless Manager
onto the Today screen.

Tap the Bluetooth Settings icon.
Note: The Device Name which appears on the above screen is pulled from the Owner
Information screen accessible through the Today screen. For more information, refer to
"Owner Information" on page 99.

Bluetooth Modes

Bluetooth operates in two modes: On/Off and Visible Modes.
On/Off Mode
When the Bluetooth radio is turned on, you can use the Bluetooth wireless technology
features available in your Omnia. When the Bluetooth radio is turned off, you cannot send
or receive information via Bluetooth. To save battery life or in situations where radio use is
prohibited, such as airline traveling, you can turn off Bluetooth wireless technology in your
Omnia.

Devices tab: Tap Add new device to search for nearby Bluetooth
devices. Tap on a device to modify its settings.
Mode tab: To activate the Bluetooth functionality, tap the Turn on
Bluetooth box (a check mark appears in the box). To make your device
visible to other Bluetooth devices, tap the corresponding box.
COM Ports tab: After pairing with a device, use this filed to setup a
COM port by tapping a New Outgoing Port. For additional options, tap
and hold an existing port.
Smart Pairing: Allows you to easily make a connection with your
handfee or stereo headset. It will automatically attempt the PIN codes
listed.
FTP tab: Allows you to configure the FTP communication parameters
used within the Bluetooth communication among compatible devices.
Images Transfer tab: Allows devices to send JPEG images to your
phone.
My Information tab: Displays the Device Name and Device Address of
your Omnia.
