The rear of the lens is fitted with a threaded mount that accepts Nikon 39mm screw-in filters (five are provided with the lens); this feature is particular- ly useful for control of exposures via neutral density (ND) filters (the lens has a fixed aperture) of various densities. - Page 9 For screens used with Nikon cameras other than F3-and F2-series cameras (e.g., Nikon FA, FE2, FM2 and FE), refer to the columns for F3-series cameras. USING THE FILTERS The Reflex-Nikkor 1000mm f/11 is provided with a set of five filters for attaching individually to the rear of the lens. To attach a filter, remove the lens from the camera body in the normal way and simply screw the desired 39mm filter onto the threaded filter mount provided at the rear of the lens. -

UTILISATION DES FILTRES Le Reflex-Nikkor 1000mm f/11 est fourni avec un jeu de cinq filtres a monter separe- ment a l'arriere de l'objectif. Pour monter le filtre detachez l'objectif du boitier et vissez le filtre 39mm dans la monture filetee prevue a la partie arriere de l'objectif. A livraison de l'objectif le filtre L37C est monte, tandis que les quatre autres sont ranges dans le double fond rabattable du couvercle de l'etui cuir de l'objectif. - Page 19 MODIFICATION DE L'EXPOSITION Le Reflex-Nikkor 1000mm f/11 etant pourvu d'une ouverture fixe f/11, il y a lieu d'employer des filtres de densite neutre (ou d'ajuster le barillet des vitesses) pour produire le meme effet sur l'exposition que la reduction de l'ouverture sur un autre objectif.
