External Battery Pack Connector (configuration varies by model):
Use to connect optional Tripp Lite Battery Packs for additional runtime. Use only Tripp Lite
external battery packs with overcurrent protection. Adding external batteries will increase
recharge time as well as runtime. Installation should be performed by qualified service
personnel only. Refer to the battery pack owner's manual for complete installation
instructions. Make sure cables are firmly inserted into their connectors. Small sparks may
result during battery connection; this is normal. Do not connect or disconnect battery packs
when the UPS is operating on battery power. The following battery packs are available in the
table below. Contact Tripp Lite Customer Support at 773.869.1234 for assistance in
determining the appropriate Tripp Lite battery pack to connect.

When connecting to two-conductor external battery packs, be sure to use the ground strap
included with the external battery packs to bond the battery packs to the metal enclosure of
the UPS in accordance with your external battery pack Owner's Manual.
Note: Three-conductor battery packs are equipped with a ground bond plug. Refer to the battery pack
instructions for complete connection information and safety warnings.
