    OPERATING MANUAL Product description | 3 3.2 Function The method of operation, i.e. the route of the medium through the unit is shown in the piping layout in the appendix. 3.2.1 Intake The compressor unit draws the medium to be compressed via the intake filter. The replaceable filter element removes the solid particles from the medium taken in and protects the compressor and the downstream fittings.

In addition, the automatic condensate drain is designed so that it removes the water from the separators when the unit is switched off and unloads the compressor when the unit is started.

    6 | Installation OPERATING MANUAL 6.2 Installing the unit 6.2.1 Securing the air quality You must always ensure that the compressor unit draws in fresh air, i.e. free from toxic gases, exhaust gases or solvent vapours. Note the following: • Operating rooms where persons are housed will exhibit high levels of CO as a result of the breathing, and will be unsuitable for filling breathing air cylinders.
