2. Steps For Installing M.2 Devices
When installing the M.2 device, install the gold fingers at a slight angle into the slot, and
lower it so that it rests on the thermal pad.
For 110mm M.2 devices:

Remove the pre-attached screw before installing your 110mm M.2 device

Remove the plastic cover on the thermal pad from your intended M.2 slot.

Install the 110mm M.2 device, and secure it by fastening the pre-attached screw.
For 80mm M.2 devices:

The screw/standoffs are included
with your MB accessories.

Remove the inner screw with a
screwdriver and fasten the
standoff portion to the 80mm
interval on the motherboard.

Remove the plastic cover over the
thermal pad.

Install the M.2 device and use the
inner screw to secure the device against the standoff.
For 42mm devices:

If you have a 42mm M.2 device, peel back the thermal pad cover and remove
sufficient length of the thermal pad to uncover the 42mm mounting hole.

Remove the inner screw with a screwdriver and fasten the standoff portion to
the motherboard to the 42mm interval.

Install the M.2 device and use the screw to secure the device.
Please carefully check your M.2 devices for proper installation before moving on to the
next step. If the M.2 device is not installed properly, the heatsink covers cannot be fully
fastened.
