CHECK TIRE PRESSURE
The tires on your tractorwere overin-
fiated at the factory for shipping purposes.
Correcttire pressure is importantfor best
cutting performance.
Reducetire pressureto PSI shown in
"PRODUCTSPECIFICATIONS" s ection
of this manual.
CHECK DECK LEVELNESS
For best cutting results, mowerhous-
ing should be properlyleveled. See "TO
LEVELMOWERHOUSING"in the Service
andAdjustmentssection of this manual.
CHECK FOR PROPER POSmTmON
OF ALL BELTS
See the figuresthat are shown for replac-
ing motionand mowerblade drive belts
in the Serviceand Adjustmentssection
of this manual. Verify that the belts are
routedcorrectly.
CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM
After you learn how to operateyour trac-
tor, checkto see that the brake is properly
adjusted. See "TOADJUST BRAKE"in
the Serviceand Adjustmentssection of
this manual.

review the following
checklist:
v" All assembly
instructions
have been
completed.
v" No remaining
loose parts in carton.
v" Battery
is properly
prepared
and
charged.
(Minimum
1 hour at 6 amps).
v" Seat is adjusted
comfortably
and tight-
ened securely.
v" All tires are properly
inflated.
(For ship-
ping purposes,
the tires were overin-
fiated
at the factory).
v" Be sure mower
deck is properly
leveled
side-to-sideifront-to-rear
for best cutting
results.
(Tires must be properly
inflated
for leveling).
v" Check
mower
and drive belts.
Be sure
they are routed
properly
around
pulleys
and inside
all belt keepers.
v" Check
wiring.
See that all connections
are still secure
and wires are properly
clamped.
While
learning
how to use your tractor,
pay
extra attention
to the following
important
items:
v" Engine
oil is at proper
level.
v" Fuel tank is filled with fresh,
clean,
regu-
lar unleaded
gasoline.
v" Become
familiar
with all controls
- their
location
and function.
Operate
them
before you start the engine.

is in safe oper-
ating condition.
