1 Technical description of the radio modem AMB8350 With the design of the new data radio modem AMB8350 we are continuing on the consistent path of implementing customer wishes and using new, powerful processors. New functions have been integrated in the AMB8350, which simplify the connection to existing systems. The radio modem AMB8350 is compatible with OPC1426 and is consequently both a complement and replacement.

The LED signals are located additionally on the multi-point connector ST4 so that, for instance, LEDs can be externally mountable. If external LEDs are used, the LEDs on the AMB8350 must be switched off to avoid overloading the ports of the controller. To switch off the LEDs the solder bridge SJ1 (see illustration above) must be removed.

4 Configuration with “AMBER wireless Config Center” (ACC) The AMBER module can be configured per RS232 using the PC software ACC. The RxD, TxD and GND lines are required. In contrast to parameterisation with AT commands in the terminal program, the RS232 interface parameters for communicating with ACC, as configured in the module, have no effect.
ETX sequence is found. In cases where this is not desirable, the “Tx Time delay ms” selected must be large enough (see S-Register 4). The S-Register 7 is used to change the ETX characters in the sequence. AMB8350 Manual V1.2 Page 17 of 21 As of: 9.2.2007...
