17.1. About Freeview
This TV is certified by Freeview New Zealand.
Freeview is the leading free-to-air TV platform in New
Zealand.
It brings together a wide range of the most popular
channels offering fantastic shows and movies, so
everyone in New Zealand can be informed and
entertained with free TV.
Freeview also provides extra features for free, such as the
8-day TV Guide.

17.2. Access Freeview
Tune in Freeview
First, connect your TV to:
• a working UHF aerial*
• high-speed (broadband or fibre) internet
Then tune in Digital Channels to access Freeview. Please
refer to the Channel Installation section for instructions.
* Check your signal coverage at
www.freeviewnz.tv/check
If you have UHF coverage, use a UHF aerial wherever
possible for the best viewing experience.
If you choose to use a satellite dish or only have satellite
coverage, you will need a satellite box for Freeview to
watch Live TV.
Stream Freeview
You can use the Freeview Streaming TV app to stream
your favourite channels for free.
Reliable, high-speed (broadband or fibre) internet is
required, and ISP data usage & charges apply while
streaming or using the app.
On this TV, you can get the Freeview Streaming TV app
from the Google TV Apps screen:
• go to Google TV Home
• at the top, go to Apps
• on the Apps screen, scroll down to App categories and
select Entertainment
• scroll along to find the Freeview Streaming TV app,
select it to download and install it.
