Initialization (PowerWash)

When a problem occurs in the system, you can use the Initialization to initialize the
Chrome OS
Caution
!
• All user accounts and data are lost during the initialization so you must backup all critical
data in advance
• For Chromebook factory reset, the AC adapter must be connected to the Chromebook
1 Press the [System Tray] > [Settings] on the right side of the taskbar
2 Press the [Reset] button in [Reset Settings] > [Reset Settings]
3 Proceed with initialization according to the instructions displayed on the screen

Restoring

You can save the restore image to external storage such as a USB drive or SD card to
restore your Chromebook

Restoring using external storage
1 Save the restored image to external storage such as a USB drive or SD card

2 Insert the external storage where the restore image has been saved, and press the
[esc] + [
] + [
] keys simultaneously to proceed with restoring according to
the instructions
