Playing Golf With Your SkyCaddie – The Basics

2.1 Acquiring Signals

Before starting, familiarize yourself with the SkyCaddie's features and functions
illustrated in Figure . This diagram indicates the location of all keys referenced
in this manual.
While standing outside, turn the SkyCaddie on and go through the start screens.
You must power up the SkyCaddie 5-10 minutes prior to play to acquire GPS satel-
lite signals and reach optimal performance.
TIP: The SkyCaddie will remind you to be outside and to let it
warm up before play every time you turn on the SkyCaddie.
To skip these messages in the future, press the Right Soft Key
under Skip.
When the SkyCaddie searches for satellites, you will notice a "Searching" mes-
sage on the left satellite bar (Fig. 4). This message will be replaced with a signal
