The front panel contains the LED status indicator.

LED Behavior (Front Panel)
The upper LED on the front panel of the drive has two states:
•
Steady white glow: The drive is on and ready for use
•
Blinking: The drive is active (read, write, rebuild)
The lower LED on the front panel of the drive has two states:
•
Steady red glow: Single drive failure (only applicable when drive is
configured for RAID 1 mirroring)
•
Off: Normal operation

Blinking: Drive active (read/write)

Off: Normal
Red: Single drive failure (RAID 1)
