Function
Up to 30 manual smoke detectors of type DKM 2.3-N or 30
ceiling smoke detectors of type DRM SOC-E3N, DRM DCD-AE3
or ST-P-DA-STB can be connected to the ABAV-S3 control unit as
a daisy chain. The device is ready to operate, and the green LED
lights up as soon as power is supplied. The current increases
during a smoke alarm or constant contamination. The smoke
alarm relay is deenergized if the current is greater than 38 mA.
It then actuates an a potential-free changeover contact and an
opener contact. The red LED lights up. The relay is self-holding;
the unit is reset by pressing the internal reset button. This is
only possible when the smoke alarm has been cleared. When
power is restored after a power failure, the unit assumes the
state it had prior to the power failure. When a smoke detector
is contaminated and its current has increased above 21 mA, the
yellow LED blinks rapidly for approx. one minute (approx. 120
light impulses per minute). If the signal continues to trigger,
the relay is deenergized. The yellow LED lights up steadily.
The detector now needs to be replaced. If this is not done,
the detector continues to accumulate contamination and will
trigger a false smoke alarm after some time. The yellow LED will
blink slowly (approx. 30 light impulses per minute) after replace-
ment. The relay is again energized. The yellow LED blinks until
the reset button is pushed briefly. The fault relay is deenergized
on short circuit, broken cable, or when the detector is removed;
one orange-colored LED each lights up. After the fault has been
cleared the relay is again energized and the relevant LED blinks
slowly. It is switched off after the reset button is pushed.
Function check
All relays are actuated twice by pressing the reset button
(for 5 seconds). All LEDs lights up steadily.
